As anyone might guess, I follow a TON of pet-related companies online. With so many dog bandana companies out there, it’s tough to keep track, as they all start of blend together. Recently, I came across a company that stands out against the rest, Bumble & Hound.
I had already been following Bumble & Hound on Instagram (@bumbleandhound) when I stumbled upon their tent one Saturday at the Midtown Farmers Market in Raleigh. The owner, Noelle Whitley, was running the tent with her husband and was super friendly. She guided me through their products bandanas, dog tees, hand-dyed rope leashes, vegan and all-natural dog soap, snoot stick, paw wax, and hand-lettered leash holders) and offered suggestions. Our female dog is usually the one who gets all of the clothes and accessories, so we decided to pick up a bandana for our male dog, Oliver, this time!
Bandanas come in sizes XS-L, so it’s easy to find something that will fit any dog. Since Oliver is only 9 lbs, it can be a challenge to find bandanas that are not overly large (and end up needing to be cut in half). The bandanas also come in various, but carefully curated, patterns that make them really special and unique. They even had one made out of Rifle Paper Co. fabric (swoon)! They are meticulously sewn by hand, and the colored edging is a nice finishing touch. While they look high end, they range in price from only $12-$20, depending on the size. We decided on a nautical illustration print for Oliver—perfect for summer!
Need another reason to shop with Bumble & Hound? They donate 20% of their profits to animal rescues! A couple of years ago, the owners adopted a dachshund/beagle mix, Maya Beyoncé (with her own Instagram of course, @maya.beyonce) from Triangle Beagle Rescue… and now they are giving back to the rescue community!
To view Bumble & Hound’s full line of products, go to https://houndand.co/shops/225-bumble-hound or stop by the Midtown Farmers Market on Saturdays throughout the summer! Once you see how cute your pup looks in one of their bandanas, you’ll be ready to book their own photo sessions… and I’ll be ready for that!
